Big Oak Vienna Lager
In 1841, Austrian Brewmaster Anton Dreher established a new Beer style, the Vienna Lager, by kilning his malt differently than all others before it. This process produces richly flavored Malted Barley. Big Oak is a Vienna Lager brewed to the strength of a Bock Beer. Our Vienna Malt undergoes a Decoction Mash to produce a smooth malty flavor perfectly balanced with the Noble Hop Czech Saaz. Cold Lager fermentation traditionally ages the beer slowly at 30° Fahrenheit for over 8 weeks creating Natural Carbonation. Big Oak is Unfiltered and Unpasteurized and Brewed according to the 1516 Reinheitsgebot – Purity Law.
